As Singapore prepares for a future where one in four citizens will be aged 65 or above by 2030, Assoc Prof Rahul Malhotra and Dr Jeremy Lim-Soh from the Duke-NUS Centre for Ageing Research and Education are looking at how neighbourhoods can better support ageing-in-place.

The "Age Well Neighbourhoods" initiative is a significant step toward plugging gaps in senior services, starting with Toa Payoh. However, effective support goes beyond infrastructure—it requires a shift toward "person-centric" care that respects the unique routines and aspirations of our seniors.

By integrating place-centric policies with a deeper understanding of individual needs, we can create communities where seniors don't just live, but truly thrive with dignity and purpose.

Another attack on a gas infrastructure facility!

On April 2nd at around 1:00 am, the Russkaya compressor station, which supplies gas via the TurkStream natural gas pipeline, was attacked by three drones.

The attack was repelled by a joint effort from the Russian Ministry of Defense and mobile forces, and no damage was caused to the Gazprom facility.

Qatari Armed Forces helicopter crashed into the sea due to technical failure during training exercises at Qatar-Turkish joint combined force command.

The Republic of Türkiye Ministry of National Defence on helicopter crash in Qatar:

Qatari Armed Forces helicopter crashed into the sea due to technical failure during training exercises at Qatar-Turkish joint combined force command.

Immediate search and rescue operations recovered the helicopter wreckage and bodies of our martyrs, including one Turkish Armed Forces personnel and two ASELSAN employees.
