Federal Health Minister Nina Warken will also come to Hanover for the opening of the 130th German Medical Assembly on May 12th.

The 130th German Medical Assembly will take place in Hanover from May 12th to 15th, 2026.

We are very pleased that Federal Health Minister Nina Warken has agreed to accompany us to Hanover on May 12th for the opening of the 130th German Medical Congress.

The 130th German Medical Assembly will address important health policy projects of the Federal Government, such as the introduction of a primary care system and the reform of the hospital landscape and emergency care.

A key focus of the German Medical Assembly's working sessions is the topic of addiction and drugs. Together with the Federal Government's Drug Commissioner, Prof. Dr. Hendrik Streeck, and other renowned speakers, the delegates of the Medical Assembly will discuss developments in addiction medicine, prevention, and the responsibility of physicians in dealing with addiction disorders.
