Do infection rates relate to implant size?

We tried to figure that out, analysing data of the Swiss Arthroplasty Registry SIRIS regarding unicompartmental knee (UKA) arthroplasty vs total knee Arthroplasty (TKA). While overall revision rates are higher for UKA, revision rates for infection are only half as high! Of course there are limitations to such a study, but it may give some food for thought.
