Together with my Czech counterpart Ivan Bednárik, we signed a declaration of intent today in Vienna for the expansion of central rail connections.

Our goal: faster connections, more capacity and climate-friendly mobility in the heart of Europe. By 2040, we want to make Vienna-Prague possible in 2.5 hours and Vienna-Berlin in 4 hours.

An important step for the mobility turnaround and a strong business location.

I would like to thank Transport Minister Bednárik very much for his visit and I look forward to seeing you again!
