In the run-up to the International Space Summit

Notes by Martin Briens, Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in the run-up to the International Space Summit.

Martin Briens

Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

Martin Briens explained:

In the lead-up to the International Space Summit, convened at the initiative of the French President, I spent a busy day in the space sector with the Secretary of State for European Affairs, Benjamin Haddad, and held discussions with leading industry representatives.

I had the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the work of the teams at CNES and the Space Command, who develop, promote, and implement a strategic vision for challenges and solutions in France, Europe, and beyond.

In Toulouse, I also met with our long-standing industrial partners Thales Alenia Space and Airbus Defence and Space, as well as the dedicated members of the Alliance NewSpace France, who are fully committed to excellence in this sector.

The National Space Strategy serves as our compass for the coming years: The Ministry of European Affairs and Foreign Affairs will dedicate itself to implementing its European and international aspects, meeting upcoming deadlines, and organizing the next International Space Summit.

Thank you for your hospitality and the stimulating discussions!
