JACIE certificate for University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus Dresden
The accreditation confirms compliance with international quality standards for stem cell transplantation as well as for modern cell therapy procedures, such as CAR-T cell therapy.

Universitätsklinikum Carl Gustav Carus Dresden:
JACIE – five letters with a big impact. Behind this abbreviation lies one of the most important international certifications for quality standards in stem cell transplantation in Europe. Now the pediatric oncology department (KIO) at the university hospital also bears this seal of approval.
Together with the Department of Internal Medicine I, the Pediatric Oncology Unit has successfully completed the demanding JACIE certification process. This accreditation confirms compliance with international quality standards for stem cell transplants and modern cell therapy procedures, such as CAR-T cell therapy.
The certification body has thus confirmed high-quality and safe care at the highest level. Thanks to the close collaboration between the two clinics, the University Hospital is now the first and so far only JACIE-accredited site for stem cell transplantation in children in Saxony.
“The accreditation and the associated JACIE certificate are an important confirmation of our collaborative teamwork,” says Prof. Dr. Denis Schewe, Head of the Center for Pediatric Oncology.
