Lana Ganselmayer, head of the department for new appointment procedures for the executive branch and personnel recruitment at the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI), also participated in the event "Strong Women. Many Roles. Balancing Career, Family and Social Responsibility." in the Bundestag. Other participants in the panel discussion included National Council members Juliane Bogner-Strauß and Irene Neumann-Hartberger, as well as Olympic champion and entrepreneur Anna Veith.
The meeting focused on the diverse roles of women in professional, family and public life, as well as the challenges of modern life and the visibility of women's achievements.
Lana Ganselmayer provided insights into the development of the police profession and current measures for recruiting new police officers. She emphasized that the professional image of law enforcement agencies has changed significantly in recent years.

In addition to traditional crime prevention and prosecution, communication, conflict management, preventative work, and dealing with digital threats play a central role today. This has made the police profession more diverse and complex, requiring not only professional expertise but also teamwork and social skills.
“More and more women are interested in a career in the police force. Women are now an indispensable part of the executive branch and are represented in almost all areas of the police,” said Ganselmayer.
