According to a press release from the tax administration of Nordrhein-Westfalen, citizens in Nordrhein-Westfalen can now register for the new function "tax return via app with one click".

According to available information, this system offers more service, less effort, and around 11.5 million people across Germany will benefit from this offer at launch.
“The data is already with the tax office; we prepare the tax return and send it directly to the smartphone. Those who agree submit it with a single click. This is how administration should work: simple, straightforward, and citizen-friendly. With ELSTER, the federal states are jointly demonstrating that digital administration works in Germany,” said Minister Dr. Marcus Optendrenk.
"This is another step towards a modern, digital administration that will noticeably make people's everyday lives easier," explains the tax administration of Nordrhein-Westfalen.
