The independence of the judiciary!

"The independence of the judiciary is a cornerstone of the rule of law," said State Secretary Dr. Diener.

The Ministry of Justice of Saarland has issued the following statement on the topic of "independence of the judiciary".

The Ministry of Justice does not generally comment on court decisions. This is in accordance with the constitutionally enshrined principle of the separation of powers and judicial independence. However, in light of the personal attacks currently circulating online against members of the judiciary, we feel compelled to issue the following statement:

State Secretary Dr. Diener: “Personal attacks and slander against judges must be firmly rejected. They cross the line into objective debate. The independence of the judiciary is a cornerstone of our rule of law. It must be respected.”
