The world's first female fighter pilot

We remember "Sabiha Gökçen", the world's first female fighter pilot, with respect and gratitude on the 25th anniversary of her death.

-She was also Atatürk's adopted daughter.
-Gökçen, who lived from 1913 to 2001, flew for 8,000 hours in her lifetime.
-With Atatürk's support, she entered the Civil Aviation School and flew her first motorized aircraft in 1936.
-Because of the flights she completed throughout her life, she was awarded the Murassa Medal No. 9, thus also writing herself into the history of world aviation.
The values she brought to Turkish aviation and the inspiration she left behind will continue to light our way.
