Visits by Rector Prof. Dr. Türkdoğan to the capital
Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan visited the President of the Council for Higher Education (YÖK), Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, and subsequently attended a meeting of the AFAD (Presidency for Disaster and Emergency Management).

Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University:
The Rector of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan, visited the President of the Higher Education Council (YÖK), Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, to discuss the future of education in Alanya, and subsequently attended the meeting of the working group of the Earthquake Science Advisory Board of the Disaster Management Authority (AFAD), where important decisions were made.
The Rector of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ), Professor Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan, is working diligently to accelerate ALKÜ's growth, both academically and practically. In this context, Rector Professor Türkdoğan and the Rector of Alanya University, Professor Turan Sağer, visited the President of the Higher Education Council (YÖK), Professor Erol Özvar. During the visit, they discussed new projects for Alanya, the opening of new departments, and the Vision 2030. Rector Türkdoğan described the meeting as productive, saying, "I thank our esteemed President for his contribution to higher education and his valuable support of our universities."

New decisions regarding earthquakes have been made
Following his meeting with the President of the Council for Higher Education (YÖK), Professor Erol Özvar, Rector Professor Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan participated in the meeting of the Earthquake Research Working Group, organized by the Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD). Rector Türkdoğan, himself a member of the AFAD-established working group, stated that important decisions were made at the meeting, which was chaired by AFAD President Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan and attended by scientists and heads of AFAD units.
Türkdoğan explained that the meeting saw decisions made regarding the creation of the Turkish earthquake hazard map and earthquake risk map, the early warning system for earthquake damage (AFAD-DEHAS), and studies related to Turkish building regulations and their implementing regulations. He added, “In our earthquake-prone country, studies on this topic are increasing. After discussing the agenda items, including joint projects with relevant institutions and organizations as well as planned initiatives, the opinions and suggestions of the participants were evaluated, and various decisions were made. These decisions consistently included proposals for earthquake preparedness, damage minimization, and measures to be taken before, during, and after an earthquake. I hope that the decisions made at the meeting will benefit our country and its citizens.”
