An estimated 100,000 people are affected by dementia today!

Henrik Frandsen reports:

Dementia is a disease that is becoming increasingly widespread!

An estimated 100,000 people are affected today, a number that is expected to rise to 145,000 within a few years.

When a person develops dementia, it is not only they who are affected, but the entire family, whose everyday life is completely turned upside down.

On Monday, together with Rosa Eriksen, the moderate parliamentary candidate for Funen, I visited the Funen Dementia Community. This community offers advice and organizes activities for people with dementia and their relatives.

First, we took an approximately one-hour walk through Odense, then we drank coffee, sang Danish songs, and had lively conversations. It is important that we as politicians take dementia seriously and create the necessary conditions so that initiatives like the Funen Dementia Community can be realized.

“I will work to ensure that the dementia plan, which was already started before the election, is implemented as quickly as possible after the election,” explained Henrik Frandsen.
