Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize awarded!

Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG):
The ten scientists who today receive the DFG Leibniz Prize 2026 for their outstanding research and their major contributions in their respective fields.
The DFG is awarding each of the researchers 2.5 million euros.
The Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize is the most important German research prize, offering the winners the best possible conditions for further work at the highest level.
DFG President Prof. Katja Becker congratulated the award winners together with DFG Secretary General Dr. Heide Ahrens, Federal Research Minister Dorothee Bär, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space Rolf-Dieter Jungk and Berlin Senator for Science, Health and Care Dr. Ina Maria Czyborra.
