Congratulations to Paul van der Laan on winning the Kalundborg Refinery Prize 2026!
The Kalundborg Refinery Prize is Denmark's oldest technology prize. Since 1950, it has recognized and supported outstanding researchers for their excellent technical and scientific achievements – research that has an impact and benefits society.
Paul van der Laan is a good example of this. As a senior scientist at DTU – Technical University of Denmark – he specializes in research on wind energy and wind farms at the interface of aerodynamics, atmospheric physics and numerical modeling, thus contributing to more efficient and sustainable energy solutions.
Excellent research is the foundation for our sustainable future, competitiveness, and technological autonomy.
