Ceremonial change of leadership at HNU: After 20 years at the helm of Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Uta M. Feser officially handed over her presidency to Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann on February 27, 2026.
At a ceremony attended by around 200 guests from the worlds of science, business, politics, and society, her work and commitment to the university were honored, including with the “PRO MERITIS SCIENTIAE ET LITTERARUM” award from the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts.
Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann takes over the office with a clear strategic vision: needs-oriented innovations for the region, a participatory strategy process, digital & sustainable transformation, and a culture of listening form the guidelines of her presidency.
In addition to festive speeches, the event featured the HNU Bowl discussion, musical performances, and a get-together with the cutting of the “HNUta pretzel.”
